Payment in full for services rendered is required at the time of your visit. We accept payment for services by cash, check, and credit or debit card. If you have health insurance, you are expected to pay in full for these services until insurance coverage is verified. At that time payment is due for the difference between expected insurance reimbursement and charges.
Insurance patients are expected to pay their co-pay. Some policies may require you to pay for all the charges in full until your deductible has been met. Please talk with us about your situation; it is possible that it may be more beneficial to you to not have us file your insurance claim.
We will file insurance as a courtesy to you.
As of January 1, 2020, Dr. Smith participates in the following health plans:
- BSBS Federal Employees Plan
- CIGNA Healthcare
- Health Care Savings
- Kanawha Healthcare
- Med Cost
- Personal Care Plan
- Primary Physician Care
NOTE: We no longer participate in the NC State Employees Insurance, however the co-pays are much larger than our Time of Service Discount. Call to find out how we may help.
Effective May 30, 2020, Holistic Health and Wellness will no longer file private pay insurance. NC State Employees Insurance as well as most other plans have co-pays that are larger than Holistic Health and Wellness’s Time of Service Discount. Consequently, this change will minimally effect patients with private pay insurance. Regular Medicare will continue to be filed as it is currently handled.
We offer a Time of Service Discount to anyone who pays for services in full at the time of the service AND does NOT file for insurance reimbursement. The administrative costs to file insurance are significant, and we are able to offer a discount to those for whom we do not file.
Please keep your appointment. Appointments that are missed by you are appointments that another patient could have used to help alleviate their pain and suffering. Please be respectful of others and give as much notice as possible. While we do not charge for missed appointments, repeated missed appointments without prior notice will result in dismissal.
